pumkins to carve . There were also a few farm animals. I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures of them too.

Finding Frost or something like that

It was a beautiful crisp morning (definatly peppermint mocha season ;)...mmmm YUM )and I decided to walk from downtown to the coffee shop. Here are a couple snap shots.

Brrrrrr........ it was chilly .

Our new appliances

We ordered a new stove, fridge and a hotwater tank a week or so from Sears. We have a very narrow staircase leading upstairs and am so happy that they delivered and installed the new appliances!

You know the first thing Carson does?
I came home to find my shoe and a bunch of misc. newspapers/flyers inside the bottom drawer.......not to mention Carson!

He's good now,but it was pretty hard tearing him apart from his new "toy" the first couple days...LOL!

Updating Blog

I'm playing around with my blog these days trying to find my "comfort" color etc.....:) I'll also be updating my Blog Links etc!

Hutch & Carson

I took this photo of Carson and Hutch playing in the kitchen and can't help but wonder what they're thinking off. I swear they have a secret language to which they comunicate amongst themselves.

Fall

So I decided to take a photo of the ONE pumpkin my garden produced this year. Speaking of pumpkins.....we have 3 Atlantic giant pumpkin seeds to try out next year **grinning, ear to ear**

Here are some leaf photos from today.

My day off

was spent taking Carson into town to take my learners and I PASSED!!!!! Yipppeeee.....I still have to learn to drive :). After the test we walked downtown and strolled around Mcguire Lake. They have shut off the fountain that spurts water but it was beautiful to see the brightly colred leaves reflected in the water. What a nice time Carson and I had together. We stopped for lunch at a bistro and shared a spinach and cheese quiche, I had a almond latte and the little man had an apple juice. We had a wonderful time and it was a gorgeous day!

ooodles of goodies

I worked yesterday bagging Halloween candy :) All the smiling chocolate pumpkins and brightly colored candy corn sure do have a way of putting a smile on your face!

Another Job!

Okay so I seem to get calls every week from people looking to hire staff, but I was shocked to say the least when a local national accounting office BDO Dunwoody, contacted me about a position opening at their office. The position is for a fileclerk/administrative support worker. This was the same type of job I had when I worked at KPMG in Burnaby

I sent them my resume back in July.....But, hey ....I'm not getting my hopes up..... as everytime I do that, I just get burned.

Well we'll just have to see where this will go.

Adams River Salmon Run

The day was gorgeous when we set out with Char to meet up with Ma & Pa at the Adams River. Did I mention Char has her license? **Here are some underwater shots of the fish**We got at the river just after 10am Sunday morning and can I say packed! WOW the parking lot was full to the brim with cars, vans, trucks, and buses....tour buses FULL of people. Who would have guessed so many people would come to see salmon swimming up a river to spawn and then die? Hey we went..LOL!

We'd thought of bringing Hutch but when we were walking along the rivershore it was a good thing that we didn't because the shore was teaming with dead fish..hmmmmm stinky wet fishy-dog in the back seat of our civic....hmmmm NOT!

I've never actually seen so many fish in a river before I was experimenting alot with my cameras, especially our digital since it's waterproof I took some neat underwater shots of the fish. Carson had alot of fun too he was "treasure" hunting, finding rocks and sticks to stash in his pockets. What a great little boy he was, he sure enjoys the outdoors and is so fascinated with the trees, grass, rocks, river, and especially the dirt.
What a wonderful day....2 hours later we were off to Kamloops for a turkey dinner:)

Victoria part 2

We stopped in a few shops around downtown Victoria. I really love the architecture :)

Here's Carson in Lululemon trying on a headband and getting into mischief.

On the way home.....thoughts of what Hutch has probably been tearing up dance through my head as the ferry rocks back and forth.... :)

Victoria

We left for Victoria Thursday night after I finished work and decided to go through Kelowna.

It was late when we checked into the hotel in Langley.....about 11:30pm! Friday saw us eating a greasy cold breakfast at Dennys! YUCK O.....I can't say yuck for Carson he loved his cereal and apples! The it was off to KPMG to see my good friend Wende whom I worked with for 5 years . It was so nice to see her and the rest of the gang! Carson sure was happy running through the halls! So much for getting the 12pm ferry! You just can't rush getting caught up with all the gossip, especialy when you haven't seen them for a year

We had lots of fun in Victoria, and not only did we spend time with Jerry, Deanna, Katie & Danielle but we also got to do a little shopping and sightseeing. I loved exploring the stores downtown and I tried to get some fall shots but it's hard to take fall shots when it really isn't that "fallish"...know what I mean? Sure everyone was dressed in touques and scarves(crazy people) but the trees sure weren't feeling the fall crisp air!

OKAY well.....I did manage to take 1 fall shot of Carson sitting on a rock.

Victoria part 2....tomorrow :)

Caramel Apples

It was caramel apple day at work last Thursday. We made dipped, dripped and twisted 250 apples! Most of them went to a wedding while the rest sit on wax paper taunting me.
