~ The lastest pages & projects ~

I did this project for Scrapbooking Swedes "Same Product Different Designer". It uses Sweetwaters "love me collection", and a cute cd tin. The cd tin will hold a disc of all our wedding photos. Now if I could only get that album done! This page was created for Scrapbooking Swedes " Same Product Different Designer" . We were sent some Bazzill Cardstock and a few sheets of Basic Grey's "color me silly". This was fun I love the colors! I created this page for my BOM(book of me). An album dedicated to "ME", showcasing everything about ....the one behind the camera, ME!
You can check out Scrapbooking Swede where you can get page and journaling ideas. I created this page using 3 Bugs in a Rug and Fancy Pants printed paper. I'm really liking orange these days!

~ Summer Snapshotz ~

A couple photos of the sky last night...the clouds rolled in. Carsons new favorite chairThe hose in the backyard has numerous "teeth" marks in it (hmmm I wonder who put those there...HUTCH!) So whenever I turn it on a fine mist squirts out from it. Here Alex is trying to help me in the garden and he got squirted with water Cooling down, taking a sip of water from the hose. Standing beside a bunch of sunflowers that were planted in the front yard.

~ Random Road Trip Day 2 --> Snapshotz ~

The next day we stopped for a couple hours at Minter Gardens. It was awesome, I loved it.

I had to take this photo as it totally reminds me of my flower garden.

This bridge was covered in vines. It was nice to hang out under as it was VERY hot out!

Before we set out on the road again. We sat in the shade and waited for the HOT SMELLY car to cool down.
Carson Loved to play with the grass.

It was a gorgeous drive up the Coquihalla. The breathtaking mountains set against the bright blue sky.

~ Random Road Trip Day 1 --> Snapshotz ~

A picture of the big burly bear from the wildlife park. Carson was very intrigued by him.

We stopped at Yellow Lake Just outside Penticton.

Next stop was Keremeos and since Brodie and I are really into historical sites we stopped at the old gristel mill. We were too late to actually take a look inside but I managed to take a few photos.

This is Hedley and the remains of a Gold mine on the Hill.

Just a fun picture take just outside Princeton, at this point it was 7pmish and we had been on the road since 8am

You never can be sure what the freeway will be like. Lucky for us the traffic problem was in the east bound lane at the Lickman exit. Apparently there was a bad accident and someone was killed.

~Random Road Trip~

**Having Troubles uploading Pictures** Those will follow :)

Okay so we set out Friday morning to the Wildlife Park in Kamloops. We spent a couple hours checking everything out, taking lots of pictures etc.... Carson loved it. He got excited when he saw the bear and started talking giberish to the elk!.

HOT ! HOT ! HOT ! Dry, Dusty...and bleck!!!! I really don't miss Kamloops!

Our next destination was Vernon to get some batteries for my SLR from LD, a Timmies then back on the road....destination Kelowna for some A&W. Once we left Kelowna we really didn't know which way to go so decided at the last minute to head to Peachland then to Penticton(watched a plane fly into the airport) for a much needed stretch and pit stop. WE stopped at a campground and took in the scenery.

I've never travelled down that way so I was very intrigued by all the orchards and wineries, so beautiful. Once out of Penticton the topic of going to the coast came up and so we took the excit to Ollala and Keremeos. We stopped in Keremeos for a bit, I've never seen so many fruit stands before! lol!

Drove through a "small" town called Hedley....strange bunch of folks in that small town and on to Penticton to fill up the tank. Now this is where the trip gets disgusting.....while travelling through the VERY winding road Carson did the unthinkable. He PUKED everywhere!! Not once but twice...and I was covered, the carseat was covered, he was covered! It was not a pretty site....and the stink! just grose! We were in the middle of nowhere and I had to try to clean it up the best I could without puking myself. Not an easy task. I finally got it cleaned up as best I could, We had to go the rest of the trip in a smelly car.....and the heat on top of it made it worse. So we travelled trough beautiful Manning Park...breathtaking.

As we turned a corner there was a huge cloud and Brodie thought it was smoke. I new better than that and said " no honey thats SMOG" ! It was 9:30 when we made our way to Chilliwack where we spent the night. If you could believe this....the Chilliwack air smelt better than our car!

Bright and early the next morning we headed out in search of an air freshner for the car. Found one at the Gas station down the road, so now the car had a pukey tropical smell.

We've been looking for a new vehicle, something alot bigger and roomier than our civic, so we headed to the Fraser Valley Auto Mall to see if they had any used 4runners or Nissan X-terras. 2 hours later we found an X-Terra, one that we could have traded the civic straight across for....but seeing that the intrest rates have gone up that would have meant our monthly payments would rise too, no new vehicle for us.

Well it was just after twelve noon when we headed back towards Chilliwack and to the Heritage Barn to check out a dog show and some other goings on. Well the dog show sucked....Carson liked it and Hutch got himself a HUGE beef Leg! (Hutch stayed home with my sister)

Us weary travellers set out on the road this time heading to Minter Gardens where we spent the next 2 1/2 hours taking in the beautiful gardens.

Then it was back on the road up the Coqu. and then onto the Ok. Connector back into Kelowna then back home to Salmon Arm! Arival time 10:30pm Saturday night! What a fun Random trip....minus the puke!

~It's catch up time~

Oh dear i can't believe how long it was since the last time I made an entry!

Lots has happened in the past 10 days.

1. Rain like crazy....I mean like the heavens opened up and poured a bucket of water on top of us! It's the middle of June, where's this summer sunshine the shuswap is so famous for.

2. While I'm on the topic of liquid sunshine, the plants love it! I've already harvested 2 zuchinnis. You here that Lisa, you'll soon have a "RAK" of squash in no time. I'd like to also mention my garden finally is filling out and taking the shape I want....freespirited.

3. A hole has magically appeared in the hallway carpet.....hmmmm I wonder how that got there.....you wouldn't happen to no who might have done that hey "HUTCH"

4. Well while we are on the subject of holes....Hutch has decided to dig to China. Lucky for us he only digs in 2 places.

5. Got a flat, Yep Brodie went to pull out of the driveway and "thump", "thump" the car had a flat. Luckily a guy that works the same shift as him lives just down the road and gave him a ride....Boy we sure are having alot of problems with holes these days.

6.We went to Anglemont, Celista this past weekend boy that was sure the drive. The weather was great, I think this was the only nice day in a long time. The photo of the view was taken past Anglemont and St. Ives. We ended up driving down a gravel road , when we decided to turn around. On the way home we stopped for a "Hutch" break then at the General store to have an Ice Cream...and of course I had to take some photos just down the road of some old barns.

7. Got some AWESOME brads from a swap at Scrapbooking Swede. Thanks Lisa for hosting this!

8. Recieved an awesome scrap mag and that too cool AL "Freestyle" magazine! I'm "absorbing" it everyday! Thanks Donna...you Rock!

~ Lavender ~

We have 11 bushes spread around the front of the house. 9 spaced out in front and in between the hedges, one in the flower bed by the house and another in the large flower pot at the front of the driveway. You would think with all that lavender the frontyard would be a nice quiet relaxing place........it's nice to smell the Lavender when you brush up against it.

Our Garden is growing....

like a weed! this is a picture of our cucumbers and they have already flowered and have started to produce some cukes.

On the top is a baby spaghetti squash and on the bottom "Zuchinni Gold"

Carsons new Car

We picked this little car up for Carson at a Garage Sale last weekend. He just loves it because it makes all sorts of noises.
