Christmas fun

So Christmas has come and gone and so have those visions of sugar plums. Started to box Christmas up for another year, Brodie took down the garlands on the railings and the wreath on the wall. The tree will come down on Sunday ...I think ;).

It was a wonderful time for us, we are so lucky to have what we have. I'm so fortunate to have such a beautiful healthy family the greatest gift.

But Brodie spoiled me....I told him NO gifts for Christmas! He got me a couple things that made me smile. I'll share some creations using it :)

The story behind the monkey .......a HIT..... during the Christmas game at Judy & Dave's!

DCM ~ Thank you

My card for the "Thank you" card challenge from the inspirational ladies at the Daring Card makers. I used bits and pieces of chatterbox printed paper and tid bits of ribbon...oh can't forget the Foo-fa-la buttons :)
Thanks ladies...I look forward to a great year of card crafting andwho knows you may inspire a couple scrap pages too!

SWS ~Rocking Horse

I was delighted when I found
this at the 2nd hand store before
you were born. It was my find of
the day.Although it wasn’t perfect
I saw potentialand had visions
of you rocking away. So
I sent it to Uncle Jerry’s for some
Much needed TLC. It was just
after your 1st birthday
when you received it back. Good as new
and ready to take on a new adventure.
Adventure awaits baby….
Rock away into the sunset
love the challenges...:) I'm officially addicted to SWS

Everyday I say bye-bye

……to the other man in my life.

So it’s a kiss on the cheek and a little tickle, then I’m out the door to my “other job”. Always thinking I should be staying home with you. I think of that everyday I leave the house.
Am I doing the right thing?

I love you sweetheart.
You’re always in my thoughts

Christmas music

I love all the old Christmas music and those songs bring so many wonderful childhood memories back.
I was watching ER tonight and I heard the closing song to the show. It was a song from Sarah Mclachlan's new Christmas album Wintersong

It's not your traditional Christmas music....and I have to say I've fallen in love. I must get that album!

Check it out and let me know what you think :)

Cluck?

My Tunes

So music is a big part of my life. Always has been, always will be.
I wear my headphones most of the time and if you ever say anything to indicate I’m being rude, I’ll tell you very matter-of-factly that I can hear everything you say. I keep the volume down. The music isn't there to cover anything up, it’s background music. It enhances my mood, punctuating the high points, and filling in the empty spots.
It’s the soundtrack of my life, I've always liked it that way.
This was a page I did prompted by a challenge Susan posted on Scrapbooking Swede.....Thanks for the challenge Susan!

more photos

I really overexposed this photo of Carson.

WHY??
Does this photo
best represent our family?
  1. A little rough around the edges
  2. not quite in focus at all times
  3. and lastley .... we're not perfect!..... So why should this photo be?
  4. In my opinion a true representaion of what .......a/our family is.
