~Weekend~

We had a great, very productive weekend!

We’ve been contemplating removing a row of cupboards in our kitchen. They’re above the counter and really block a lot of natural light and make the area look really small and closed in.

We removed them on Saturday with the help of our neighbor …… WHAT a difference, WOW it looks so much brighter and the kitchen even looks larger. I’ll defiantly have to show before and after photos.

Well later that night Darcy called asking if Brodie could come over to help him finish their new floor, so it was off Kamloops for him.

On Sunday I went to Sicamous to an all day crop with my neighbor Jen. It was loads of fun and I can’t believe how many pages I finished….well almost finished I just have to add a touch of journaling and a title on a few of them.

Did I mention our car got rear ended? And Carson is SICK AGAIN…going to have to watch him closely…he sounds very hoarse and had a fever again last night. I hope he doesn’t get strep throat….I hear it’s making the rounds….

~We caught the bug~

Carson and I were sick these last 2 days and I’m so glad it has finally passed. Nothing like the stomach flu to bring you down….*eye roll*

It’s been a few months since I watched daytime TV and I have to say I wish we had a PVR…LOL. I watched Oprah .

Here is an a piece taken from the show ...Oprah on February 8th, 2007 you can see more of it here:“the Secret”

"The law of attraction means that everything that happens to you—good or bad—you attract to yourself. Lisa describes it as if you're placing an order. "If you were at a restaurant and you ordered something, you fully expect it to come served that way. That's how the universe is. You're putting out orders—consciously and unconsciously," Lisa says. "So if you say, 'I'll never have a great relationship,' you just placed an order."Jack says everything you focus on can have an effect on your life—from books to magazines to thoughts. "All of that affects how we feel, and the feelings actually send out a wave into the universe, and anything that's vibrating in a similar level gets attracted into our life," Jack says."Most people focus on how it is. We talk about our current reality—'I'm in debt. I'm overweight. I'm not happy. I'm sad. The world's not working. We're at war,' whatever. And the more you think about that and focus on that and talk about it, the more you attract that [negativity]," he says."......

"Gratitude is one example of the magnetic force of the universe. "Basically, nothing new can come into your life unless you open yourself up to being grateful [for what you already have]," Michael says."If you think about it, the universe has a conveyor belt of presents lined up for you, and until you receive the one and fully are grateful for it, the next one can't come out of the chute. It's all lined up," Jack says.Lisa says this perspective applies to weight, family, friends and other aspects of life. She says too many people who want to make things better focus on what's wrong with the present. "Instead of wanting to change it, appreciate what's there," Lisa says. "Find the things about it that work … and by doing that, you create a space for it to get better."....

and I also really liked Rachel Ray’s new show. So that was the extent of my TV watching on Thursday.

On the scrapbooking front ----->
I got an email yesterday from Cards Magazine my goodies are being shipped to me; I hope my book is in there too. This was for a card being published in an Idea book coming out this month.

~Midweek Ramblings~

The melt down has begun; it was very warm this morning (2 Cel.) when I let the dog out. It’s starting to feel like spring. If “Murphy” has his way it’ll no doubt snow!

Work has been okay, with this week starting out better than the one before. *Eye-roll*
T1 season is just around the corner and this will be one of the first years I’m not directly involved in the T1 pool. It’ll be interesting to see how this office works during the hustle bustle J

My craft space is sloooowwwllly progressing, just a few more shelves to be built and it’ll be complete. The flooring was installed a few weeks ago and the walls painted ORANGE. It’s very vibrant and really gets the energy flowing plus it also distracts from the other stuff going on in the room like all the paper on my table after a scrap session.

Carson is such a little ham. We were at the video store on Saturday to pick up “Open Season” when we turned down one of the aisles a lady and a young baby were coming from the opposite direction. Carson stopped and began to tap his foot, the lady chuckled…then he started dancing and stomping his feet. So I figure we have a little show off on our hands!

Last night we watched Chantal K on the T.V. playing the piano and singing. Carson was mesmerized by her, he actually LOVES to watch people playing instruments and singing. So he was very entertaining …I wish I had recorded him running to the screen touching the microphone …smiling away and closing his eyes.

On the scrapping front -----> I’ve been busy getting projects done for an upcoming idea book J and I’m part of a CJ group called the Lil’ sprouts my albums topic is all about the movies.

And all you DCM ladies out there…I’m working on that “LARD” …LOL!

Have a great day…..where ever you are J

DCM~Sketch

Here's my Card for the Sketch challenge :)

Made a felt heart for this one.

What a weekend...of sleep overs *smile*

Well I had my hair colored...FINALLY...after months of looking at those grey hairs, ummm it was time, oh yah. Brodie went to his brothers to help with some reno's that they were doing and dropped off Carson at his mom's. So we were Carson free for an evening.

So you know how you can never seperate a boy and his dog...well our dog Hutch had some serious Carson withdrawl. Whining and crying ALL night...I slept better when Carson was home...LOL!

So while Carson was away, Ashley our niece had a sleepover :) We watched Lilo and Stitch, munched on popcorn and had some fun girlie time.

In the morning when she woke up at 7:30am....the first thing she wanted to was "crafts". So I told her after breakfast we'd head downstairs so she could create something to take home with her.
